Livingston Animal Hospital will be a part of the Purina Walk for Dog Guides for the second year in a row!
We invite you and your dog to join Team Livingston on Sunday May 29, 2016 beginning at 12:00 (registration) with the walk starting at 1:00 pm at Grimsby Square Plaza. If you do not have a dog you can still join us on the walk for this worthy cause! During the registration time, we will be offering nail trims for $10 and microchipping for $20 with proceeds being donated to the Dog Guides.
Since 1985, the Purina Walk for Dog guides has raised over 13 Million dollars to aid in the training of service dogs. Last year, Grimsby raised $21, 232.25 placing us within the top 5 for all of Canada and we are hoping to do it again! These dogs go through 2 years of intensive training which can cost up to $25,000 depending on what they are training for. They enhance individual’s lives by allowing more independence, safety and mobility as vision assists, hearing ears, seizure responders, autism assistants, diabetic alert dogs, and service dogs.
Please visit Livingston Animal Hospital to register for our team and pick up your pledge form.
