Johanna has had a love of animals since she was little and a passion for rescuing animal in need. It all started as a young girl bringing home stray dogs, cats and even young wild life. It was not uncommon for Johanna to be nursing rabbits, squirrels, birds and even baby raccoons in her home. She started working at an Animal Hospital in Burlington as a Co-op student which led to a full-time position as a Veterinarian Assistant. She spent 9 years there until she decided to explore a different path. During the years she was away from working with animals, she missed it greatly. Her career made a full circle and brought her back to where her passion lies, working with animals at Livingston Animal Hospital.
Johanna has a deep interest in canine behaviour and looks forward to continuing her education on the subject. Johanna and her family enjoy spending time together with their dog Tucker going camping, hiking and canoeing. She also enjoys long walks with her many canine friends that visit through her pet sitting business, Walk Along Pet Sitting. She also very much enjoys spending time with their 2 house cats Millie & Turtle, her rat Darwin, along with her 10 chickens and colony of feral cats, Mamma Cat, Thomas, Marshmallow & Phil.
